Eucharistic Jubilee of Bolsena and Orvieto
In celebration of the 750th anniversary of the Eucharistic Miracle of Bolsena, and Pope Urban IV's "Transiturus de hoc Mundo", the Apostolic Penitentiary, by order of the Supreme Pontiff Benedict XVI, authorized the celebration of an extra Eucharistic Jubilee during which believers and pilgrims can receive Full Indulgence, just as during the regular Jubilee years.
The Eucharistic Jubilee will begin during the month of January 2013 with the opening of the Holy Gate in Orvieto’s and Bolsena’s Basilicas, and will conclude in November 2014 with closing of the Holy Gates.
La Casetta dei Nonni, 20km far from Bolsena and less then 10 from Orvieto, is the perfect location for visiting the places of the Jubilee.
